Choosing between Starter and Professional: a practical guide

Starter and Professional share the same booking engine, the same calendar, and the same online booking page — the difference isn't "basic vs. advanced," it's which parts of running a club you're already handling another way.

Start with what you're already selling beyond court time

If every booking is just court time — no walk-in retail, no coaching, no membership program — Starter covers the full loop: reservations, calendar, an online booking page, client records, basic payments, and basic reports. A lot of single-court, early-stage clubs genuinely don't need more than that yet.

Professional adds the layer that shows up once a club starts selling more than the court itself:

• POS and walk-in sales — racket rental, drinks, retail, rung up from the same screen as bookings
• Memberships — recurring billing, member-only pricing and booking windows
• Coaches and classes — lesson booking against a coach's own schedule
• Advanced CRM, waitlists, and automated reminders
• Advanced analytics and a player portal

The practical test

A useful question: are you currently doing any of the above with a separate tool, a paper system, or manually? If yes, that's the specific gap Professional closes — not a vague "more features," but the actual thing currently costing you time.

Court and staff-account limits matter too. Starter includes up to 4 courts (with a per-court overage rate above that) and 2 staff accounts; Professional includes up to 10 courts and unlimited staff accounts. A club with more than 2 people needing their own login is a Professional decision on staff accounts alone, regardless of the feature list.

You're not locked in

Both tiers include a 14-day free trial with no credit card required, and upgrading later doesn't mean starting over — the same booking and player data carries forward. Starting on Starter and moving to Professional once you add POS or memberships is a completely normal path, not a sign you chose wrong the first time.
